Teotihuacan culture was centered north of what is now Mexico City, where they established the city of Teotihuacan.

The city of Teotihuacan was at its time one of the most important in America because of its large population and size, even civilizations that developed subsequently complied with its importance.

Teotihuacán's name comes from the Nahuatl and means "place where the gods were made" or "city of the gods.

"In this city we can find, even to date, the so-called pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, which are united by a broad avenue called Miccaohtli or Calzada de los Muertos along which other shopping religious, as the temple of Quetzalcoatl, palaces such as the Palace of the Jaguars, and residential complexes for elite people.
